By combining a Solid Flow Meter with an intelligent flow control gate, MacDev enables precise metering of fly ash for applications such as silo discharge, truck and bulker filling, and process feeding— even under fluctuating material and load conditions.
Fly ash is extremely fine and fluidized in nature, making conventional feeding methods unreliable. MacDev systems are purpose-built to handle these challenges with stable control, zero drift, and repeatable accuracy.
The system measures the real-time mass flow of fly ash using a centripetal Solid Flow Meter. Based on the measured flow, the controller regulates the flow control gate or VFD to maintain the desired feed rate.
This closed-loop control ensures stable, repeatable feeding irrespective of material density variations, aeration effects, or silo head pressure changes.
